An aerial picture of this iceberg floating in the Strait of Belle Isle in Southern Labrador lets one see the massive base of the iceberg under the surface. Icebergs are breaking and changing shape continuously once they reach Southern Labrador and this one just gave away leaving pack ice in the water. This can be a very tricky time of year around Southern Labrador for boats, as they are always wrestling with pack ice, icebergs and fog.
