The Canwest Global Place building in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba towers to a height of 420 feet which was finished being built in 1990. Thirty-two floors make up the height of this building making it the tallest high rise building in the City of Winnipeg.
Originally built by Toronto Dominion Bank, CanWest Global Communications bought this skyscraper to create a head office for their business. Located at Main Street and Portage Avenue, the building looks out over the prairie landscape of Winnipeg City. Connected to the underground walkway system where a shopping mall is found, this architectural masterpiece was designed by Charles Bentall Architects.
