Along the waterfront of the Halifax Harbour in Nova Scotia, Canada a large flag of Canada is displayed blowing in the wind which shows the symbolism of being a Canadian. The flag of Canada with the Maple Leaf was inaugurated on February 15th, 1965, replacing the flag which once beared the Union Jack and the shield of the royal arms of Canada.
