George Lake Sunset Scenery Killarney Provincial Park Ontario

The scenery at George Lake in Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada is always breathtaking but during the sunset hours, there are no words to describe its beauty.

The rays of light emitting from the sun at sunset, spread themselves out along the hills bordering George Lake in Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. The sunset lighting spans across to the opposite side of the lake where ancient smoothed rocks typical of the Canadian Shield are highlighted, creating some of Ontario's best scenery.

Just before the sun disappears for the day, it paints the sky in a soft pinkish/orange color which reflects off the calm surface of George Lake. The hills were created many years ago by the glaciers and leave behind an incredible place with unique geological features.

George Lake offers visitors various trails to hike on where secluded coves and bays are located which are easy to access while staying at the campsite situated along the lakeshore. ... continue below the picture...
