A thin blanket of soft, white clouds move in over the town of L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland Labrador where a brightly painted fishing stage sits along the shore. Fishing stages are common along this coastline, many not as new as this one which has been decorated with a rack of moose antlers and a weathervane.
L'Anse aux Meadows has been an archaeological site for many years and in the 1960's, scientists found the remains of a Norse Village. This is the only one which exists in North America outside of Greenland and was declared as a World Heritage Site in 1978.
