The Grand Staircase in the Legislative Building in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba is three flights of thirteen stairs each, made of marble with an American Bison statue situated on either side. The statues represent the herds of buffalo which once roamed free across the prairie landscape and the columns up to the third floor are reproductions of the caryatides found in Erechtheum of Athens in Greece.
