A large sign marks the entrance to the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre near Stonewall, Manitoba in Canada. The Interpretative Centre is situated on the shores of a marsh where visitors will find a 120 seat theatre, a cafe, gift shop, meeting rooms, interactive exhibits and a rooftop observation area where one can overlook the beauty of the wetlands.
A place where birding is fabulous and tourists can explore 30 kilometers of trails consisting of prairie marsh, aspen-oak bluff, waterfowl lure crops and artesian springs. At least 300 species of bird call the Wildlife Management Area home along with various species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and fish.
Open year round, the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretative Centre offers tours for groups, school programs, nature information, workshops, special events, day camps and a variety of seasonal activities for people of all ages.
