As the MV Caribou, a boat in the fleet from the Marine Atlantic Ferry System, arrives in Newfoundland, Canada, the waterfront scenery of Port aux Basques comes into sight. A mixture of vibrant colored houses decorate the waterfront in this community and are a welcoming sight for those heading home to Newfoundland.
The largest of 27 communities, much of the daily business is done in Port aux Basques which has grown considerably over the years. The residents of this community are extremely friendly, laid back and the pleasures of hunting, fishing, hiking and beautiful scenery is what makes life good here.
