The sun appears from around the top of the Prince Edward Building in the city of Regina, Saskatchewan, highlighting the flags and sign relating to this historic building. The Prince Edward Building was once home to the Post Office with construction of the building being completed in 1906. The Post Office ran efficiently from 1907 until 1956 and then city offices were relocated here in 1962 with those moving in 1975 to the new city hall building.
In February of 1982, this historic building was one of the first in the city of Regina to be declared as a municipal heritage property and a sign commemorating this was placed outside. Today, people can admire the beauty of this building as they visit the theater, restaurant or small shops which now call this building home.
