As the Sand River in Lake Superior Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada rushes over and past the large boulders, a beautiful display of Autumn colored leaves rest atop a rock. White foam creates a unique picture across the surface of the water as it makes its way over the rock ledges.
The Sand River follows its journey from Sand Lake to Lake Superior and on route descends in a chain of low cascades through Lake Superior Provincial Park. Many visitors to the park, find the Sand River a beautiful place to canoe or kayak with runs that are moderate to difficult but beautiful when the leaves are changing in Autumn.
