In the shallow, clear water in Big Tub Harbour in Fathom Five National Marine Park in Ontario, Canada, visitors can view the remains of a shipwreck. This is one of more than 20 shipwrecks found throughout the park, named the Sweepstakes which was built as a schooner ship in 1867.
Many visitors to Fathom Five National Marine Park can view the Sweepstakes by boarding one of the boat tours or scuba diving around the outside of it. Cove Island was where the Sweepstakes originally went down in 1885 and the remains were towed into Big Tub Harbour where it still sits today.
