Castle Butte was a well known landmark for travelers across the landscape and used by the Northwest Mounted Police, Indians, settlers, and outlaws.
Castle Butte is situated in scenic southern Saskatchewan and stands at 60 metres high above the otherwise flat prairie floor. The sandstone and clay formation often turns beautiful shades of red during sunset.
