A mother and father take their cute family of soft yellow fur to the shores of Lake Erie in Leamington, Ontario for a drink, walk and swim. Six goslings make up this family unit and are cute from a distance, but adult Canada Geese can be very viscous if threatened in anyway.
These cute goslings were hatched not far from the lakeshore as adult Canada Geese tend to build their nests along the elevated banks of lakes, streams, ponds and marshes. The parents will care for their family until after the spring migration, but the goslings will be able to fly short distances around 6 to 9 weeks of age.
