Along the marsh boardwalk of Lake Erie in Point Pelee National Park in Leamington, Ontario in Canada, a beautiful sight to see is a mother Canada Goose tending to her goslings. Three fluffy little goslings rest on the lakeshore as the female keeps a close watch for any unwanted trespassers venturing to close to her young.
The Canada Goose can be a vicious bird when protecting goslings, first a hissing sound will be heard and then they will violently chase after any intruders, possibly biting or attacking with their wings. These goslings will begin getting their flight wings between 6 and 9 weeks old but will stay close to their parents until after the spring migration.
As cute as these goslings are, one must keep their distance and take pictures without making these birds feel threatened in any way.
