The coastline of Nova Scotia, Canada has had the point at Peggy's Cove lit since 1868 when a lighthouse was placed at the eastern entrance to Margaret's Bay. The first lighthouse was a wooden tower which was replaced by this newer model in 1915.
Standing 50 feet west from the original location of the lighthouse, visitors clamber over the flat rocks around the base of the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse to capture different angles of the area.
