Wildlife is plentiful around the town of Red Lake, Ontario, especially on the outskirts where tall, green grass grows making it the perfect place for grazing for many types of animals. This adult Black Bear was busily munching on the grass, which was interrupted as we approached to capture a picture.
A majority of the time, a Black Bear will usually retreat in the other direction when humans are present, but everyone knows, wildlife is unpredictable and should never be approached. The Black Bear is a common species of wildlife which can be found throughout at least 39 US states and in all the provinces across Canada.
